What is Nature Based Therapy?
Nature Based Therapy is the facilitation of nature and the great outdoors to help our inner nature and mental health. Nature Based Therapy comes in many forms, some of which include outdoor counselling, forest bathing, outdoor mindfulness, wilderness and adventure therapy, spiritual outdoor practices, gardening, outdoor photography, conservation work and creative therapies in the outdoors.Open to everyone and anyone who have ideas on connecting nature to our inner self and inner nature.

Vernon is a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Nature Based Therapist.He has an Nature-Based and Ecotherapy Practice in Devon, UK.Vernon has worked in many different therapeutic settings, including working with adult offenders in prisons, with young offenders in the community and as a drug and alcohol counsellor. 23 years ago Vernon had a severe accident which left him paralysed.After three years of rehabilitation he managed to get himself back to where he was before the accident.A huge part of Vernon‘s rehabilitation was after leaving the hospital. This is when he immersed himself in nature to help him heal on a physical, psychological and spiritual level.Vernon is a big believer in Mother Nature as a healer.Today Vernon is a mental health advocate and is passionate about saving and healing people and the Earth.
